Govt. of Odisha

Orchid Flora of Odisha and its Present Status

Duration: 2000 – 2002

Conducted extensive field research throughout Odisha to study the distribution, diversity, and present condition of orchid species.

Outcome

Submitted a comprehensive report to the Government of Odisha documenting orchid spread, ecological conditions, and recommendations for long-term conservation measures.

Taxonomy Capacity of Indian Orchids

Duration: 2004 – 2012

Worked across the forests of Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu to strengthen orchid taxonomy and biodiversity documentation.

Outcome

Formulated and submitted a detailed scientific report including field observations, orchid diversity analysis, and recommendations for conservation and habitat protection.

Self-Initiated Project

Taxonomy Capacity of Indian Orchids

Duration: 2004 – 2012

Independently explored orchid-rich forests across Assam, Kerala, and the Andaman Islands to document rare species and study orchid ecology.

Outcome

Prepared a comprehensive report with scientific findings, ecological observations, and recommendations for orchid conservation and sustainable habitat management.
